Notes:

+24 hour recovery time due to self-abuse at DBT. By now they are in Omaha and I am fumbling to make coffee and wrapping up the story. Details of the 2/23 show at the Fox Theatre... loud, long and a variety of music all the way back to 1990's Lookout Mountain. Space was at a premium and somehow I got to stage left, 5 feet from Neff's pedal steel setup. The view along the stage was great, but that close in the sound suffers. No worries, all these tunes are burnt into my mind. I concentrate on the visuals... guitar style, stance, expression. I got new inspiration from Women Without Whiskey (Southern Rock Opera-2001) and The Opening Act (Brighter Than Creation's Dark-2008). The audience was into the scene and as usual contained a scope of ages. The pressure of the beat and shoulder to shoulder people held me up till sometime past midnight-thirty the encore terminated and reality set in.

As best I can recall this is the set list:

Perfect Timing- Brighter Than Creation's Dark
A Ghost To Most- Brighter Than Creation's Dark
Sink Hole- Decoration Day
Where The Devil Don't Stay- The Dirty South
You And Your Crystal Meth- Brighter Than Creation's Dark
Goode's Field Road- Brighter Than Creation's Dark
I'm Sorry Huston- Brighter Than Creation's Dark
Lisa's Birthday- Brighter Than Creation's Dark
? (the Mellencamp story)
The Company I Keep- Pizza Deliverance
3 Dimes Down- Brighter Than Creation's Dark
Margo And Harold- Pizza Deliverance
Self Destructive Zones- Brighter Than Creation's Dark
Puttin' People On The Moon- The Dirty South
That Man I Shot- Brighter Than Creation's Dark
Lookout Mountain- The Dirty South
The Opening Act- Brighter Than Creation's Dark
Woman Without Whiskey- Southern Rock Opera
Let There Be Rock- Southern Rock Opera
Buttholeville-Gangstabilly
? encore
