Notes:

Obstacles are fragments of life. Little meteors of resistance blasting us. Keep an eye out and move to the side. Experience means fewer direct hits. It turns out we all got smacked last week. A surprise visit from Doc Martin got us thinking music again.

We hang on a dream and drop a quarter in the slot, hoping for a song to pull us through. Razing each other between sets and airing the audio.

Winter grinds the subconscious. Summer campfire chants near the creek filter through my mind. I sit in my shack with a coat on thinking the worst. The man is in control. The mess is going to last longer than me. So I put on some jazz, lose my mind and tell myself, "learn to steer."

Drive-By Truckers February 22 at the Ogden and February 23 at the Fox Theatre. Find out more about the Denver/Boulder concert scene.
